Meet Marcus. The agent that finds money you're losing.
Dead stock, coming stockouts, batches that expire before they sell - Marcus watches all three around the clock. He proposes the fix with the dollars attached. You approve. He executes.
Free plan up to 25 SKUs. Paid plans are billed through Shopify.
Batch #4471 expires in 34 days - projected sell-through: 41%.
Inventory loses money in three quiet ways.
Dead stock, stockouts and expiring batches are often reviewed in separate tools. Foreshelf puts all three inventory signals on one screen.
Dead stock
Inventory that stopped selling keeps consuming cash and warehouse space. Marcus finds it and quantifies exactly how much is frozen.
Stockouts
A bestseller running dry costs more than the missed sale: ads keep running, customers churn. Marcus forecasts the date it happens - before it happens.
Expired stock
Cosmetics, supplements and food lose their value at one precise date. Foreshelf plans around it.
An employee, not a dashboard.
Dashboards show you problems. Marcus does something about them - in a loop you fully control.
He watches
Marcus reads your sales velocity, supplier lead times and batch expiry dates, every day, on every SKU.
He proposes
Every proposal is quantified: what to do, why, and how many dollars are at stake. No vague advice.
You approve
One click. Above your threshold, a double confirmation. Nothing ever moves without you.
He executes
Purchase orders created, supplier emails drafted and sent - with a 60-second cancellation window after every approval.
An AI agent you can trust with money - because he can't overspend it.
Most AI tools ask for trust. Marcus is built so he doesn't need it: every safeguard below is enforced in code, not in a promise.
Per-order cap
A hard dollar ceiling on every single purchase order. You set it, Marcus cannot cross it.
Daily spending cap
A rolling 24-hour limit across all approved actions. No dangerous chains of orders.
60-second grace
After you approve, a cancel button stays live for a full minute before anything executes.
Double confirmation
Above your threshold, you type the supplier's name to confirm. Fat fingers can't spend money.
Data eligibility
Marcus declines to act on SKUs without enough sales history. No forecasts built on noise.
Rate limiting
Ten approvals max per five minutes. Impulse-clicking through proposals is impossible.
Full audit trail
Every proposal, approval, rejection and execution is recorded and visible.
Never fully autonomous
There is no "auto" mode to switch on, by design. The merchant always decides.
Other tools answer. Marcus acts.
Ask any AI a question and you get a paragraph. Ask Marcus and you get your own numbers - and a button that does something about them.
Batch #4471 (340 units) expires in 34 days and current velocity only clears 141 of them. Second risk: SPF50-FACE-75 - stockout in 9 days, about $920 in missed sales if you wait for the usual reorder cycle.
Create SAVE25-COLLAGENPOWDER - 25% off COLLAGEN-POWDER-1KG for 7 days, directly in your Shopify store. Clears the batch before it expires.
It also tells you when not to reorder.
Every forecasting tool says "reorder now" when stock runs low. But if 60% of your current batch will expire before it sells, reordering is burning money. Foreshelf cross-references demand forecasts with batch expiry dates - and says WAIT when waiting is the profitable move. And when stock is already at risk, Marcus proposes a native Shopify discount code to clear the batch before it expires - with your approval.

What merchants ask before installing.
Can Marcus spend money without my approval?
No. Marcus proposes; you approve. Every action respects a per-order cap and a daily cap you control, plus a 60-second cancellation window after approval. A fully autonomous mode does not exist, by design.
What makes this different from Prediko, Fabrikator or Cogsy?
Foreshelf is built around two concrete workflows: expiry-aware reordering, including telling you not to reorder stock that will spoil, and approved agent actions inside hard spending caps.
How long does setup take?
Under two minutes. Install from the Shopify App Store, and Foreshelf syncs your products, inventory and the last 60 days of sales automatically. If you track batch expiry dates, importing them is one optional CSV.
What about my data?
Foreshelf reads products, inventory and order line items - no customer personal data beyond what Shopify privacy compliance requires. GDPR webhooks are implemented, and your data is deleted after uninstall per our privacy policy.
