A stock-level rule can say "reorder now" while a current batch is still likely to expire before sell-through. In that situation, Foreshelf cross-references demand forecasts with the batch expiry dates you provide and can return WAIT. When a batch is already at risk, Marcus can propose a native Shopify discount code for your approval.

Can Marcus spend money without my approval?
No. Marcus proposes; you approve. Every action respects a per-order cap and a daily cap you control, plus a 60-second cancellation window after approval. A fully autonomous mode does not exist, by design.
What makes this different from Prediko, Fabrikator or Cogsy?

How long does setup take?
Under two minutes. Install from the Shopify App Store, and Foreshelf syncs your products, inventory and the last 60 days of sales automatically. If you track batch expiry dates, importing them is one optional CSV.
What about my data?
Foreshelf reads products, inventory and order line items - no customer personal data beyond what Shopify privacy compliance requires. GDPR webhooks are implemented, and your data is deleted after uninstall per our privacy policy.
